Florida, also known as the Sunshine State, is located in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered to the west by the Gulf of Mexico, to the north by Alabama and Georgia, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and to the south by the Straits of Florida and Cuba.
Cape Coral is located in the south-western part of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. The city has over 400 miles (640 km) of canals, more than any other city in the world. Most of them are navigable and some have access to the Gulf of Mexico.
The Villa Françoise is beside one of these salt water canals and has a direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.
Enjoy sports and leisure activities in Cape Coral and surroundings: golfing, fishing, visiting leisure parks (Orlando is about 3 hours away by car) or just relax at the beach.
Nearly everything is at hand for young and old.
And last but not least, if you love nature and animals, the Everglades National Park is just two hours away and should really belong to your program.
